Not too long ago, a sweet mama contacted me to let me know that one of the women who is a member of the Waldorf community had lost her husband. It was very sudden. He left behind his wife and two young children. Now, I know there are many people in a similar situation, or have experienced what may seem worse to them. But, what touched me, was the way her friends got together and organised a charity auction to raise some much needed funds to give to this family to ease their financial burden. I know we can't help everyone, but sometimes, helping just one person is worth doing.
So, man artists got together and created wonderful items to be auctioned off. All proceeds will go to the family. The auction has begun. So far so good! I hope you will take the time to visit it. You may find something you like. Here is the link: Hearts for Vanessa Charity Auction

Welcome Waldorfers!
Welcome to our new spot on the net. With the recent changes on Facebook, it has become impossible to maintain a directory of the standard that was intended. So, after careful consideration, I decided to start this blog, which might actually take over the Facebook page over time. The blog offers many features which a Facebook page can't. Firstly, and most importantly, we can have PAGES for doll makers, clothing makers etc, which WILL make it possible to have a REAL directory! It is so exciting. Secondly, we can finally have the page I have been thinking about..a page for a Featured Seller, which will help us all to get to know our sellers better. It is always good to form a connection between customers and sellers. By sellers, I don't just mean doll-makers. I mean clothing makers, furniture suppliers and those who supply doll-making materials. So this will hopefully grown into a wider community with comprehensive information about everything w would want to know about..and everything we need for our wonderful dolls.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Feel free to comment. Please be respectful of others always. We want this to remain a fun and supportive community is has been on Facebook. Tell your friends and family about us...so we can grow!
Thanks for sticking with us..and if you are new..for joining us! :-)
